The First Update

After a traumatic departure, so bad it's been written up as an ER episode we 
wandered aimlessly around Southampton waters for the day, finally heading back up 
the container docks picking up on the way a struggling boat headed by the 
tide & towed him to Hythe. Spent couple of nights at container docks then 
headed for Totland Bay spent the night rolling around before heading off for 
Cherbourg last Friday. Fast but lumpy crossing had Tooty thumbing through 
yellow pages for cat welfare. Arrived ten hours later and its where we've 
been since anchored just outside in petit rade. Anchorage free, wine 
80p, cider same. Tooty says she may be very able but can someone stop this 
bloody rockin and rollin, my name's Tooty not Travolta. She says if anyone
